Leadership Pickens County Testimonials
Leadership Pickens County is, without a doubt, one of the most pivotal moves in my
personal life. The friendships made, the knowledge received, the places visited,
the questions answered were all well worth the time spent. As a lifelong resident
of Pickens County, i was amazed at what I did not know! I now feel more empowered
because of the processes that I know are in place and the people that I have met.
It is not unusual for me to pick up the phone or email one of the people that I met
in my class or as a part of this training. It was a priceless experience!

Three years ago, I was new to Pickens County and knew nothing of the issues facing
the county nor anything about the government structure, social services or the business
community. As a direct result of my participation as a class member and now a leader
in the LPC program, I have become well equipped to contribute to positive progress and
have obtained a broad and diverse network of contacts throughout the community!

The LPC program is an outstanding program that not only helped me in my business opportunities
at work, but it also helped me appreciate Pickens County and not take it or its beauty for granted!

Through Leadership Pickens County it has become clear that our county is already good,
but we could be so much better by working together!

Leadership Pickens County has been one of the most meaningful leadership programs I
have ever participated in. As a lifelong resident of Pickens County, I never realized
there was so much I did not know about the county, and its surrounding area. I would
recommend this program to anyone wanting to know more about the county, it is an invaluable resource!
